Terms & Conditions

The International Organization of Local Governments (IOLG) is a global institution committed to advancing good governance, sustainable leadership, civic participation, and the protection of human rights. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all activities, memberships, events, and digital services provided by IOLG. By registering, subscribing, or participating in any IOLG program, each user (“the Member” or “the Participant”) agrees to comply with these Terms fully and without exception. Those who do not agree must refrain from using IOLG platforms or services.

IOLG reserves the right to amend or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Updated versions will be posted on the official IOLG website and will take effect immediately. Continued participation after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

1. Membership and Access

Membership with IOLG is open to individuals, institutions, and partners who align with its mission and ethical standards. Members may choose among the following tiers:

  • Seeds of Change – introductory membership focused on civic education and awareness.

  • Impact Leader – intermediate level, emphasizing leadership training and advocacy projects.

  • Advocate Leader – advanced membership with access to strategy forums, reform trials, and global dialogue events.

Membership is strictly personal and non-transferable. Unauthorized sharing of credentials, event links, or digital materials is prohibited.
IOLG reserves the right to approve, suspend, or terminate any membership in cases of misconduct, violation of policy, or behavior contrary to the organization’s values.

2. Payments and Billing

  • Memberships are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan selected.

  • Payments must be made securely through IOLG’s authorized systems or official partners.

  • Because members gain immediate access to exclusive resources, all fees are non-refundable, except in proven cases of duplicate billing, system error, or administrative oversight.

  • Members may cancel at any time through their online profile or by written notice. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

  • No partial refunds are issued for unused time or missed sessions.

3. Code of Conduct

All participants must uphold the principles of integrity, respect, and collaboration in all IOLG activities. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment, bullying, or hate speech of any kind.

  • Discrimination based on gender, race, religion, nationality, or background.

  • Disruptive behavior during sessions or events.

Members represent IOLG in public and online spaces. Conduct that harms IOLG’s reputation or violates its human rights–based values may result in suspension or termination of membership without refund.

4. Intellectual Property

All IOLG content — including materials, publications, event recordings, logos, and graphics — is protected by international copyright law.
Members may:

  • Use materials for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only.

  • Reference IOLG content with proper attribution when applicable.

Members may not:

  • Copy, resell, or distribute IOLG content without written authorization.
